Use a GET request with the url parameter.
The favicon can be .ico, .png, .jpg, .webp, or .svg, depending on what the target site provides.
Yes — it follows standard HTTP redirects to resolve the correct favicon location.
The API returns a JSON object containing the favicon URL and a boolean indicating whether the favicon was found.
The key fields in the response are "favicon_output," which provides the URL of the favicon, and "favicon_found," which indicates if a favicon was successfully retrieved.
The response is structured as a JSON object with two fields: "favicon_output" for the favicon URL and "favicon_found" to confirm the favicon's existence.
The API provides the favicon URL for a given website, allowing applications to display site icons without manual scraping or parsing.
Users can customize their requests by providing different URLs to retrieve favicons from various websites, ensuring flexibility in usage.
Typical use cases include displaying favicons in bookmark managers, enhancing link previews on social media, and integrating site icons in dashboards or CRMs.
The API follows standard HTTP redirects to ensure it retrieves the correct favicon, enhancing the accuracy of the returned data.
If no favicon is found, the API returns "favicon_output" as null and "favicon_found" as false. Applications should check these fields to handle such scenarios gracefully.
